Nameless, yes it works to a very reasonable level, essentially single player but with friends. There are a few bugs and a few quests that cant be completed, but all in all good.

Salt and Sanctuary has couch co-op on the PS4 as well.

If I remember right you could do co-op in Neverwinter nights also. Or 3 player with 1 playing as the GM for a real tabletop experience. That I had the pleasure of experiencing many years ago.

DMing was the reason NWN even existed. I don't think I ever even played the singleplayer campaign when I had it back in the day.

Outside of a few cool tunes and the second expansion (which was fucking great), you didn't miss much.

I used to play the singleplayer fan made mods A LOT. There was nearly more mods for that than even Doom has.
The Penultima series and Lone Wolf (based on the gamebooks) were my favorites. Just like Shadowrun Returns you could take your character from the main campaign and continue them on with the mods for further XP levels and gear upgrades. Loved that aspect.

This is a real stretch, but if you would be interested in a pure puzzle only co-op experience, with no shooting at all, try Myst Online Uru Live. A few of the puzzles can only be solved with co-op help, and all of it is better with someone else to share with. If you ever played and enjoyed Myst, you should check it out.

Isn't Portal 2 co-op'able? At least with the slim/fat robot missions?

Yes
