Ok, I'm in the temple of Akbaa level2. Found a golem that was already animated and managed to kill it. So I got two golem hearts but decided it would be good to get more since they're useful. So I attacked one of those inanimate golems in those alcove things, it came alive...and no matter what I can't kill this one. Waited for it to attack then took thrusts at the heart but it dosn't seem to do any good. Is this a bug or am I missing something obvious? Or am I not supposed to fight with these golems at all? Plz help.

I don't think you can kill those. I certainly have never been able to. As you probably already realize, the best strategy is to use the already animated golem for your weight before you kill it for its heart. I was actually under the impression that only two golem hearts are available in the game. They are great though, at least against easier enemies. Like most things, they are utterly useless against the ylsides or even the liches.
