These golden saints are crap !
Not in the way they fight, cause with this damn "reflect" they (better said i) kill me very fast.
But they look ugly. I thought that such a great creature will look really astonishing, but even a kwama forager is nicer than that.
Its been my first time i was capable to make/buy a "summon golden saint amulet".
How do you kill these guys to get their souls? If possible, then please the magical way. Yes, i want to make all things with constant effect.
Btw, how do you get the money for that. It took me ages to get the 150.000 bucks just so i can summon one.

Get the disposition of the enchanter up to 100 before you enchant as it will lower the cost, high Mercantile skill will help too.
To kill a Golden Saint (or any other creature with Reflect) with magic :
Don't use destruction spells - It's too dangerous for yourself, use Absorb Health (Mysticism) instead. A reflected Absorb Health will not harm you in any way other than perhaps blocking some of your view.
If your Mysticism isn't good enough to kill GS' fast :
Use Magicka damage (Damage Health) - GS' have decent elemental resists but no defence against Magicka type effects (other than their Reflect). Actually the only (non-unique) creatures with any kind of resistance to Magicka are Orcs (25%) and Bretons (50%).
Don't deal more damage / second than your own health - If you do then a reflected spell will kill you fast, preferably you should be able to take a hit from the GS and have your spell reflected without being in danger.
Deal damage over time - If you use a spell that deals instant damage you won't be damaging the GS while you are doing the casting animation, reflected spells with a duration will also be easier to survive compared to an instant spell dealing the same total damage.
If you get a spell with duration reflected back at you immedately drink 1 (or more) healing potions that counter the damage. An idea for a spell design would then be that you make them deal the amount of damage of your typical healing potion over less time. Example : You are carrying mostly Quality Restore Health potions (20 Health/5 seconds), a good Destruction spell to complement those would be 20-20 Damage Health / 3 or 4 seconds / 0 area / Target (ofc. you should remember to fit it to your own magicka reserves too).
Hope this helps.

why enchant at all, when you can buy scrolls at caldera?
MagicMerlin on 5/11/2002 at 23:14
Phew. Thanks WK for that great info !!
You are right, i tried it with 100/100 Damage (fire/frost etc) spells. So i had no chance to counter a reflect.
My magic reservoire is extreme. Made a custom class with 6x Int, but 25%weakness to all spells/weapons.
@ CK:
Cause i didnt know that.
And i´m still low level. So perhaps cant get them anyway. But will have a look

@ WK
You are right, "Damage Health" kills him truely fast.
With this i also found a "bug/exploit". Seems the developers made a safety feature, so that if you by mistake hit a summoned creature, it will not attack you. I had to hit him 3 times with the spell to attack me. Poor guy, cause its been to late by then. Hmm, a little bit boring this way. Seems i stick to the Fire/Cold Damage cause thats a little more fun. :p
@ CK
Yep, he had one scroll. Just hope he will get more of them.
Will take some time till i can enchant things, what they cost is unbelievable. (Someone needs to make a bank i can rob - oh i forgot, i am a mage, not a thief - damn)

(Someone needs to make a bank i can rob - oh i forgot, i am a mage, not a thief - damn) Folms Mirel replenishes most of his scrolls (including SGS) so the SGS scroll should be back immedately after you exit the barter screen.
A trick you can use to cut down on actual cost on enchantments : Before you enter the enchant screen, check the barter screen. That way the money you spend on enchanting will be added to the enchanters barter money and you will be able to sell those obscenely expensive items (daedric stuff etc.) and get your money back.

You need to go to Tel Branora and go to one of the traders there (I can't remember which one...) Buy all of her common soul gems, exit the dialogue, then barter agian to get more (3 at a time). Buy as many as you want. Then get a summon spell such as a bonewalker and summon/soul trap/kill until your gems are all full, then sell them to creaper in Caldera for mad cash. Or you can make potions by the same method from someone who has the right ingredients to make one potion. Stalk up on tons of the stuff, then make lots of potions and sell them to Creaper....

@ WK: What deadric stuff? Just got that robe and cloth. *gg* Oh and that curass i got when i tried joining every guild.
@ Sarius: Yeah that could i do (soulgems), what to some extend i would call it cheating - what i dont want to do. But that stuff with the potions isnt bad. Have about 100 of the most ingredients. So i can make "restore fatigue" and sell them for about 170 each. Just need to get the alchemy skill higher cause 4 out of 10 is a waste of resources.

Yesterday i managed to kill some battlemage in a Daedric shrine using a Dwemer axe and a amulet of shadow 80%. :sly:
It took some time but when it was done i got a ebony armor set(without the helm and shield but everything else), later that same place i found a Draedric war axe, -"- mace and darts.
I was just thinking that i have been shoundn´t able to get these items, since i´m a level 9 adventurer(i don´t think that is a very high level).
Hey, don´t get me wrong...i luve the suit and the weapons but still...:weird:
