I now do that all the time by default in my games, in the vain hope that friendly stalkers stop getting slaughtered. Unfortunately though, there's nothing I can do that will make them smarter.

all news had stopped except for weather comments and I eventually found I no longer needed sleep and there were no more blowouts.
Theres some built in time limit, prolly you hit that. On my last playthru i accumulated quite a few working recipes lemme try to find some.
Lucked out. Artifact, time, amonaly - evolved artifact and so on
electro is the zappy electro anomaly of course
fruit punch the green acid one
whirlgig might be the one that lifts you up then explodes or just sucks into center and damages not sure
spring is the one that makes boosh if ya get close and does fire damage iirc
burner is the fire column thing
*Beads 5 hours electro - old beads 3 hours fruit punch - ancient beads 10 mins whirlgig - elder beads
*Soul Burner 4 hours - soul drop burner 6 hours - ? (typing this from some handwritten notes and my handwriting sucks) soul burner 10 hours - crystal soul electro 1 hour - ? (cant read it again)
*Droplet electro 5 hours - tears electra burner 6 hours - fire tears fruit punch 2 hours - chimera
*Urchin burner 3 hours - porcupine electro 5 hours - electro porcupine fruit punch 2 hours - acidic porcupine
*Kobolok spring 2 hours - steel k. whirlgig 5 hours - titan k. fruit punch 8 hours - diamond k. burner 3 hours - (sphere?) kobolok
*pellicle spring 5 hours - skin whirlgig 5 hours - scale fruit punch 2 hours - steel scale
Good ones are of course beads (huge resistances) and soul (huge hp plus and regeneration) evolved. Iirc you need to have the recipes before it works. Theres more involving the new anomalies AMK introduced but these had me wander about trying to find out what the hell a "mosquito bald" or "mincer" is. Can find these with the rare stash setting anyways Xd

'Mincer' in AMK actually refers to a 'Springboard' most of the time, I've discovered.
And cheers for that, but some of them are still wrong though. Well, yours might not be. Have you made all of those work as described? I've had a few where the recipe in your encyclopedia doesn't match the info in your journal. Either or both can list some combo that doesn't do anything, but throwing an artifact in some other anomaly will produce the result described.
I think they just mixed up which english anomaly name was which (quite a lot).
I've got a lot of second tier recipes which seem obvious, like grab your electro electro porcupine and throw it in the such and such. Even if you don't have a recipe for the electro porcupine it seems obvious what to do, but trying to do it yields nothing. So I dunno. I'll have another go.
If you know what Skin is that'd be cool. Is it anything to do with Slime?
I have modded a few Souls all the way up to Fervent Crystals which are quite mad; no negative effects, crazy health regeneration etc.
Some time limit thing on the mod is interesting, but I find it hard to believe I've played it more than someone like D'Arcy. It could be fell asleep right at the time there was a blowout or something and it got all confused.

Im somewhat sure-ish i tested all of these. :erm:
Skin is a Pelicle upgrade giving better acid resistances or something, nothing too exciting iirc.

Any good mods for CS yet? I've had a look at the official forums and there doesn't seem too much of great excitement.

Modders don't like CS as much as SotC, just like almost everybody else.

tried CS: enhanced,it fixed some stuff I really hated (that annoying monster respawning, for example) and added a couple of new things as well (sleeping bag, ability to swap weapons with stalkers),but the gameplay is still nowhere near as enjoyable as with fully modded SoC..still a long way to go,but a good start I guess.

Er, monster respawning, aren't you getting mixed? Monsters were virtually non-existent in CS, it was number of people everywhere that was making me mad instead.
Zygoptera on 8/4/2009 at 22:57
I was looking at CS: Enhanced but since it still seems to be getting quite frequent updates thought it might be worth waiting until it had settled down a bit.

Yeah, I know that.
Having played through most (? had just got to Red Forest) of it before Tages fucked my save games I'd agree that it isn't as good as SoC, though it does have some improvements- native repair and upgrades, faction wars even though they could obviously be better and the new way of finding artefacts is fab. Main negatives: Most importantly the zone feels too 'friendly' compared to SoC and I never found any dungeons with the same unsettling atmosphere, also grenades are exactly the wrong sort of difficult and whoever thought the machine gun was a good idea should be used for target practice by the Ukrainian Army.
All in all, saying it isn't as good as SoC isn't necessarily an insult.

Did someone fix the stalkers saying their 'goodbye' lines when you pull up the trade screen? Or the 1 second freeze that happens when you look into any inventory?
