With WO the colors aren't realistic
Do you go outside much? Unless I'm forgetting that you're talking about dawn/dusk, in which case i will agree with you about dawn at least (dusk is a different matter.)

The sunset looks better than sunrise imo. But they'd both need some tweaking to look right. To be fair, it is not easy nailing the colors without watching many sunsets and sunrises. :p

As my bedroom faces west, I can say with authority that the colours in WO look perfect. My bedroom walls are white (they're actually unpainted) so it's not like there's any tinting to throw off the orange light shining RIGHT IN MY FACE.
Actually, I think I've figured out the problem. The purple is too purple. It should be more bluish, both dawn and dusk.
(interesting side note: There is a highway about 100 feet above the ground, and it's about 700 feet away from my house. There are no sound walls, so when the sun is setting, when it's just right the light coming into my room flashes like crazy due to the cars moving between the sun and my window.)

Fatraps run and gun1 is an absolute blast. Probably my favorite mod to date.

I did a full runthrough running Stalker REDUX, and it brings awesome gameplay changes: ressources are much more scarce, the need to feed is more prevalent, weapons more realistic (both balistic and damage) and never found in perfect condition, money and rewards toned down. The amount of "realism" it brings gives a improved survival feeling. Of course, in the endgame, this feeling tends to weaken since you're always loaded with equipment, but i guess it's hard to avoid. At least it makes packratting really rewarding...:p
Sounds a bit like an advertisement, but go ahead and try it, very good stuff...

Questions!
Do REDUX and alive conflict significantly? Which one should I overwrite with which?
Is there any way of getting any/both working with 1.0004+?
Will playing any/both allow me to get the proper endings which high certainty (I heard alive esp likes to mess things up)?

I'd rather merge files than make one overwrite the other.

I don't think any big mod will work with another, as they change all.spawn. So it's either aliVe or REDUX.

True, the only way around that would be if the two mods were combined by the authors of the mods. It'd be a big task. :erg:

Well, I'm playing redux with 1.0004 on master and it's fun and not too hard. I threw a granade at the duty checkpoint and let myself into the Bar area in the beginning to gather up some supplies and get the Ecolog suit from the scientists. It's actually a useless suit as far as protection goes since walking into an anomaly equals instant death, but it's got the best NV and adds 10kg the carry limit. Unfortunately, The SEVA suit stash was replaced by some rifle.
My only complaint is that the avatar gets hungry way too often (must be a real fatty), and there's little food anywhere - except that sold by traders... who exchange three sandwiches for a NATO rifle in good condition :erg: Repairs are also very expensive... In fact everything is very expensive.
Great mod though. I love the new wordy armor/weapon descriptions.
