Tomorrow morning I shake the maple syrup off my boots and wander west, this time for good.
Canada's an awesome country, and I encourage everyone to at least visit it once in their lives, but the plain fact of the matter is that it's woefully deficient in Starrfalls -- to the tune of one. So I've dismantled Caer Weasel brick by brick by timber, stuck it in a bag, and I'm rebuilding it in California.
I didn't find out until two weeks ago that I was cleared for the move, so it's been a fair whirlwind of a fortnight between the glee and the stress and the arrangements and the bouncing. But tomorrow morning I get in my last taxi to my last flight out of Toronto, and with my one-way ticket in hand I will see what it's like to emigrate to the USA.
Pray for Canada in my absence, mes amis. I'm leaving Aja in charge of the place now. That ought to be a laff riot.
