Oh man, this cracked me up. It's exactly the same thought process I had in naming my wireless "Da Internetzors". Hmmm... "Da Intermanet". Hahaha, actually, I think I like "Da Intermanet" even more.

I had struck me that it was derived from "The Avatar". Does that mean it cannot be his name? Why is it added to the Player -> Name property if it is not the player's name?
If anyone here actually thinks they intended "Da Avamatar" to be the character's real name (as opposed to just a placeholder name for use within the editor and so forth), then, well, you must have a real hard time with those snake-oil salesmen coming to your door and convincing you to buy those anti-leopard stones.
Seriously, I'm having trouble figuring out why anyone would think that's actually intended to be a real name. It's just a corruption of "The Avatar" (i.e. SHODAN's "avatar") and that's all.
It's added to the Name property because, well, something had to have been.

That word somehow reminds me of Homer: "What I wouldn't give to hear Lisa play another one of her jazzy tunes.....saxama-phone! Saxama-phone!"
By the way, I had always thought Goggles was somehow official and I just didn't know the source, until one day I stumbled onto a post tracing its first use as a proper name to Fluke, then andsoot, back in the day ((
