I still find it crazy that Ken Levine apparently spent a lot of money back in the day trying and failing to obtain the rights to System Shock, and years later Stephen Kick just sends some email to an insurance company who says "sure thing" and it's pretty much a done deal.

I'm glad it worked out that way though -- Nightdive has done so much good work with so many classic games in the wake of that.
