Ah, my bad, I thought you meant taskbar. :o They're adding all these new features a little by little, so I'd imagine that you get your context menu sooner or later.

Do they have a roadmap page like on Epic?
Renzatic on 23/11/2019 at 06:00
Doesn't look like it. All I was able to find was (
https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/sections/360004686293-GOG-GALAXY-2-0) this page.
Really though, the thing's about feature complete. I've been using it as my main launcher since I got my invite a few months back, and the only thing it's missing are some nice quality of life details here and there.

The open beta has just launched, so everyone can give it a try now. And everyone
should give it a try. :D

I'm still expecting to see some minor features to be added, but Galaxy 2.0 is already perfectly functional and my main launcher right now.

Ditto. There are two issues with it that keep it from being absolutely 100% super perfect, but they're really more slight inconveniences than big problems.
1. About once a month-ish, I'll find myself having to relog into Steam to get it to resync my games.
2. You can't install and remove games from the Epic Store inside of GOG. Attempting to do so will launch its browser, so it's not a massive pain in the butt, but you still have to do the real work there.
Other than that, it's all smooth sailing.

Yeah I went to use Galaxy for playing Phoenix Point, but when I went to install it, it brought up Epic Games Store. So been using that for it instead,
Renzatic on 10/12/2019 at 03:15
Keep in mind you don't HAVE to use Epic Game Store to launch their games, you just have to use it to install them.
I've actually got Galaxy set up to close the other various clients I use whenever I quit one of their games. It takes a few seconds longer to launch something, but I like running a smoove ship.

I still like to use Galaxy as my main games launcher, but it's been annoyingly unstable lately. Occasionally it just refuses to launch games or it doesn't sync at all. Forcing Galaxy to close and then restarting it fixes the problem, but having to do that at least once a day is getting a bit frustrating. I think that the problem has got something to do with my computer going to hibernate/sleep mode, and Galaxy for some reason can't cope with that.
Renzatic on 16/2/2020 at 22:24
It's been perfectly smooth for me, but then again, my computer hasn't been able to put itself to sleep since I upgraded to the latest RTM build of Win10.
Really, my only complaint is that I occasionally have to resync my connections to the other game stores, but that happens about once every other month, so it's not that big of a deal.

It's been working perfectly for me, too, but I always shut down my PC when I'm not using it, rather than putting it into hibernate/sleep. With the SSD, it boots faster than resuming.
One thing that I really like is how I can add Thief 2 - a game which I only have a physical copy of, as I never bothered getting it on Steam/GOG/whatever - and it gets added right in along all the games from the other storefronts, then proceeds to track play time and so on.
It handles it much better than Steam's "non-Steam game" system, albeit without Steam's excellent overlay.
