I'm not here to amuse your primal needs, insects, but to make my misery less of a burden while awaiting for NWN2 to ship out in my cold expanse. I will post something I've noticed of late, and some questions as well...
First 1.) Has anyone noticed that the * motion editor * tool actually works in ShockED? Just select a creature (any...creature) and load in the motion (name from the MOTIONS.RES, they are the ones ending in ".mi"). Then just click play and watch the show. This leads to my next question.
2.) Are there ANY means to get the real SCHEMA names that the editor uses for these animations somewhere (ANYWHERE, PLEASE!). There are HUNDREDS of them, and only a friction is seen in the actual game, so to finding the right one is A HUGE time-consumer. By schema names I mean "cs 001, cs 123, cs 012" etc... that must be the format in, for example, signal responses. ANOTHER option would be to somehow make the signal response use the actual MOTION FILENAME, but I do not know if this can be done, anyone? Would it be possible to read schema names in binary or something like that?
3.) Do you understand what this means? Even a simpleton could create MAGNIFICENT and COMPLEX cutscenes with these newfound powers. Especially if CUSTOM V/O (VOICE OVER, SOUNDS... humansss....) is brought along. Then only the sky would be the limit! Someone like the human christine could make MAGIC happen... magic!
4.) Is there any way to build your OWN motions for SS2 with some program?
And also, are there any maggots here that wish to know how to build a working tram? It took me quite the while but finally I was able to fathom how the entire system works. I could post my discoveries in the form of a tutorial for your amusement, but I'm wondering if there any builders here left, planning to make anything besides me?
And finally, it wouldn't be Shocking to see some kind of a "builders' FAQ/THREAD" on the main page, where everyone could post their findings and tutorials for others and just talk about shit in general, because I find it rather difficult to find SS2 related stuff. There could be loads and tons of links there leading to fabulous new creatures and weapons, and just STUFF aimed at SYSTEM SHOCK instead of thief, because the SS2 editor forum is DEAD. No stickies, nothing... :tsktsk:
- I am only a goddes, adrift in my limitless imagination... VISIONS of horror... next -

I probably shouldn't ask but... How does watching character anis in shocked magically enable you to create "magnificent and complex" cutscenes?

Yeah, tell me how to do a tram! In my fan-mission, Return to the UNN, I did more things with a tram than ever happened with trams in the retail SS2. Please, instruct away you ignorant retard.
Among other news, can an admin please lock/destroy this thread? Or move it to the ShockEd forum? Or please at least burn away threads like these that are tainting the ttlg community?

That's a bit harsh. She offers to write a guide or something for the masses, and you take it as a personal insult against your own. Where is that, by the way?
@Koyla: She doesn't want to watch the animations, she wants a way of getting the names for them so she can use them in game. Which would, of course, allow her to make whatever sort of cut scenes she wanted.
@Angelfire: Yes, black is your friend, and so is the use of normal english. Shodan speak is much the same as l33t speak in that regard. Yes, it's cool when used properly, but anything over one line per three forum posts is pushing it.

You can't be defending Angelfire, can you? :weird: As far as I've seen, she's been strutting around like an arrogant prick who knows everything there is to know about ShockEd. It's easy for someone who actually turned out a FM, and a good one at that, to take offense to being called an idiot by someone like that who hasn't even made anything yet.
