Anecdotally speaking, there seems to a trend towards extremes: in the last decade, we've had both record cold and snowfall and record-high summer temperatures. I had the misfortune to be going through Basic Training during one of those record high summers. you know its bad when even the Drill Sergeants are miserably complaining about the heat.
