i don't doubt that we screw with the environment plenty and need to cut that shit out, but i was a little bit put off by Gore winning a prize for his movie that carries a disclaimer in some places indicating it has some exaggerations or incorrect information. i personally have not seen it and am not a scientist, so i won't try to argue (i mean heck, he has drawn attention to an important issue).
It does, however, seem like winning the Nobel Prize is a tad excessive for the man who created the Internet. i guess the other nominees had nothing to offer? Surely something with some meat was out there?
(i also don't mean this as a Gore bash... it just seems a little out of balance, but then i wasn't there with the judges :))

More importantly he had a Senator for a father.
Who even needs the bullshit when you have that?

You're living proof that neither of those are necessary.

I think global warming has become a kind of dangerous "cry wolf" situation. If it's blamed for just about everything these days up to Hillary Clinton breaking a fingernail, (okay I made that up) then people become jaded and cynical. I personally do believe in it- unless of course David Attenborough and other scientists are just making up fictions of record UK weather figures and rapidly melting Greenland ice caps to keep the Republicans in The White House. But on a personal level I have noted odd things with the UK weather in recent years.

Unfortunately it's only the crying wolf who can wake up a herd of ignorant sheeps.

Are you talking about the English judge thing? Cause that's not really the same as the movie itself carrying a disclaimer. (Haven't seen it either.)
Either way that's probably why he only won part of it.
