The likelyhood of this happening is about on the level of california liberating itself to go chill in the tropics with hawaii, not to mention half of florida is already under water:p but i'm safe and sound 33 MSL;)

I believe Global warming is a fact.
Cutting down and destroying Rain Forests have done a lot to cause damage to the balance,of nature.
Tropical rain forests act like lungs of the earth. The trees take up the carbon dioxide and release oxygen into the atmosphere. Destroying the forests upsets the balance, with more carbon dioxide being left in the atmosphere and less oxygen being released.
When tropical rain forests are cleared by burning the trees, carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere.
This contributes to the 'greenhouse effect' which causes global warming.

Thief13x, if you go back and read what you just wrote you are saying that the likelihood of california breaking off america and drifting over to hawaii is 100%. Thats quite a statement, even if you have got to grips with microtectonic terrane theory.
Anyway, head back in the sand now, see you later.

If you feel your ears getting at all wet, that's just because you've STRUCK OIL

There is an answer to all this.
Former Minister of National Defense of Canada believes that advanced technology from Extraterrestrial civilizations could help put an end to our addiction to oil and reduce greenhouse gases.
UFO technology could provide climate change solutions!

I recall a member of the Gamespot forums keeping an "Xbox Doom Predictions" list - he wrote down everyone who said the Xbox would fail within 3 months (or whatever their ludicrous time amount was) and stuck it in his signature:)
While unfortunately it will take much longer than 3 months for this dispute to be settled, I'm sticking this in my quotes file for good measure.
