I figured that it was time to post all the crazy, and of course sucky glitches that people know about. I have a really sucky one to start out with.
If you go to Tel Fyr before you get corpus disease, and bring a Dwemer artifact like the one Cauis gives to you and give it to Divath or whatever his name is you cannot continue any of the main quest as when you return to Cauis he just says under orders "go to Tel Fyr and get that Corpus cured." The worst part is that when you to the cave where you get the disease the main guy isn't there so you cannot even continue with the quest! And like a fool I saved over all my previous files without realizing the glitch! Oh well, I guess I can try vampirism.
Any one else have an actual useful glitch?

There must be console commands to fix this, if you're on PC. Wait a little- someone will come online who'll know the commands. I don't, sorry.

Sounds like the journal's got in a muddle.
Try 'Journal A2_3_CorprusCure 0'

there is the soultrap glitch which makes any spell permenant
all ya have to do is put a spell on self or if ya want to paralyze someone, use on touch for 1 sec in area of 5-10ft
and the soultrap on target for 2 secs, if it's a paralyze etc. then when ya cast it, go towards them and look at their feet or the soultrap will get them and they will attack ya and the spell won't work but if it's fortify or resist etc. look at a wall and cast it
for example
fortify speed 100pts on self
soultrap for 2 secs on target
cast it 10 times and ya speed will be 1000 + whatever ya current speed is now, this also works with any resist, fortify and invisibility spells BUT I'll advise ya not to make a chameleon, invis., levitate, waterwalkin or waterbreathin since it messes ya game coz ya won't be able to get to secrets, unlock things, nick things or talk to people but if ya want to try them out, make thm in a messed up game or save it first

Thanks for the info, It makes killing vivec really easy when you hasve about 50 golden saints. The problem is disposing of them afterwards, because they all attack you if he does't kill them.

I haven't been able to make this permanent spell glitch work. :erg: Are you two using PCs or xboxes?

dunno if this is a glitch or not but I think it's weird that you can jump from the cantonlevels in Vivec without getting any fallingdamage. Even when your acrobatics is low.
shadowj on 2/5/2003 at 16:04
well I dunno about the other guy but I've got the xbox version, but you MUST have the soultrap on target for secs and underneath the spell ya want to make last forever plus if it's a spell that helps ya, ya make it an on 'self' and if it's a target spell put it on 'target' and aim it at the feet of the person
and I don't think the fallin off and no damage is a glitch coz when I walk off the edge of the wall in Wolverine hall it takes 10 damage off but it could be one
Myoldnamebroke on 2/5/2003 at 20:05
I used to think it was about the angle of surface you land on - ie you can slide down the canton supports - but could it be the difference between objects and terrain? The cantons are just great big objects. Could that be it? Is it possible to take damage falling on them at all?
sappe on 2/5/2003 at 21:08
yes if you jump over the rail you take damage (alot). If you jump from the rail and land on the lower rail or some steps or whatever you also take damage. Only if you jump from the rail and land on the ground (or floor dunno what to call it) you will be unharmed.
