Fellow GMDX players,
The 'old' inventory-glitch where dragging a larger item from a full inventory off screen, then immediately going back from the inventory screen and clicking to pick up the item used to move it behind the larger item.
Has anyone been able to get this to work in the great GMDX mod? I have even enabled cheats. Its a no-go.

if it's a glitch/exploit, then the chances it got fixed are pretty high, hence, you won't be able to cheat.

Hi Voodoo,
It was originally found out to be a bug in the game and left by the programmers intentionally to be an 'easter egg' in the game to be found by players who had spent many hours playing and accidentally finding it. It was later removed by patches many years (about 10 years) later.
So the question is, can it still be used today, with a workaround? Would anyone else like to suggest.
Thanks!

Replying to myself here after some research. This was removed intentionally in GMDX. This has not been taken away by the creators of the game in GOTY edition. So if you'd like to use this feature simply download GOTY Deus Ex over Steam or install from your own media.
With that, this question is now closed.

https://image.ibb.co/dKeue5/Shot0002.pngI just finished GMDX on Realistic difficulty and I think it's the perfect mod for Deus Ex I've been waiting for since like 15 years ago. If there's any mod that actually ENHANCES the original atmosphere - it's GMDX. Really love those subtle additions to the otherwise true-to-the-original remastered game. A mod/unofficialpatch made by a design genius. So many great features (like much better AI!) seamlessly added to the game without changing the core goodness.
So good to replay this classic masterpiece so many years after my first playthrough, the game has aged like good wine :thumb:
I had also had hopes for and tried DX:Revision too and sadly it killed Deus Ex and made something entirely different and inferior to it instead. The design decisions are simply absurd. It's like, did they hate the original so much??

Thanks Kristijonas for your review! I had wondered about the differences between the Revision and GMDX and now I know which one is the mod for me when I next to a replay :)

Hello GMDX Dev, is there a way to disable the HDTP completely? The way it's forced on you in this mod is the only thing that puts me off, and frankly I don't like those models in my game (especially the duck-like bots).
Sorry for nitpicking, but you're on TTLG after all ;)
Thank you for your hard work.

I caught the recent Warren Spector interview on Ars (How Deus Ex was almost too complex for its own good). Gave me that itch for a playthrough.
I remembered GMDX. I think I first heard of it via this thread and there's been a few times when I've read about the updates and thought it sounds interesting. There was always something that would sidetrack me though, so I've never tried it.
Checking today, 9.0.3 is the version on the website
(

Then there's GMDX 'v10' Community Update
(
https://www.moddb.com/mods/gmdx-v10-community-update)
The idea behind GMDX appealed to me. But I can't work out if the Community update sticks to that idea or not. I assume it's not made by the same person/team?
Would anybody with experience/knowledge of both care to comment?
