Was in Best Buy this weekend and noticed that they have just put out pre-order game boxes for Invisible War. Can't wait!

So maybe it will be out by Christmas after all?

Hopefully. And that's in the US. No-one's sure what's going to happen in other countries ...

December 3, 2003 is the day I stay home from work.
...or maybe the week.

An NZ gaming site has posted word from the local Eidos distributors that DX:IW will be here on December 12th. Presumably it'll be in Australia at the same time. Not nearly so bad as I had feared. :)

From IGN's recent preview:
"As you may have heard, DX2 is being developed simultaneously for Xbox and PC. The Xbox version is already gold, and the PC version should be extremely close to that by the time you read this. The December 2nd release date is still considered tentative, although if it's missed, there's a "Ninety-nine percent chance it will be within a week before Christmas," according to Harvey Smith."
Damn the XBOX!!!

What?!?
Did you not read the gamespot preview that was linked to before?
And why are you jumping to conclusions on a subject (game distribution) that you probably know next to nothing about?
I know next to nothing about game distribution either, but I do know enough to point out that the PC does not have to be quuality tested by microsoft, while the xbox does. So it makes sense to get the xbox version done first. Also, they're not wasting their time (according to the gamespot preview) while the xbox version is away either ...

damn those stores for putting out pre-order boxes.
if I had a dollar for every time I've walked into Best Buy, seen a game I thought wasn't going to come out for another month, and almost keeled over in excitement only to discover it was a pre-order ..... well, I wouldn't have to worry about upgrading my computer to play them, let's just say that.
maybe I'm missing something, but why was the DX2 box so thick? It was the same height as those smaller game boxes but almost twice as thick, like they were going to shove a book in there or something.

Really??
