I was kinda hoping that this was going to be that awesome futuristic/post-apocalyptic Ghostbusters game* I heard about a while back. I guess that got cancelled.
Dany Aykroyd seems really, really obsessed with this franchise. Seems he's been working very hard to get something - anything - made that is connected to it somehow.
*Or was it a film? I forget

IIRC the GB III was planned in the 90s and both Ramis and Aykroyd were enthusiastic about it, but Murray wasn't so and he had a condition that he would play Venkman again only if he was a ghost. Venkman - a ghost. Like if it had to be a remake of Randall & Hopkirk or something. Dunno if he meant it seriously or what, but Ramis and Aykroyd resigned on doing the sequel afterwards.
The game is supposed to fill the place of a movie sequel, it occures after GB II and you play a new GB recruit to save New York City once again.
Curiously both Ernie Hudson and Murray should, together with Ramis and Aykroyd, speak their parts.

GBIII and IV were meant to be filmed back-to-back, weren't they?

And Sigourney Weaver! But I doubt there will be Dana, as she belongs more to Venkman's personal life and Weaver is far away from GB stuff already.

The game looks good, but I'm not much of a fan of Terminal Reality (excluding Terminal Velocity). I really hope that they pull this off and that it doesn't end up like Sierra's last attempt to cash in on a (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scarface:_The_World_is_Yours) classic movie.
For the record, I haven't played the Scarface game, but it really does look like crap.
EDIT: Actually, according to the wiki, the plotline will not be the same as "Ghostbusters Go to Hell."
