I am totally with marbleman in this discussion. The rules should always be simple rather than ambiguous. The only times we have altered the rules' wording recently is to clarify them, to reduce the number of questions raised, and to make them understandable. With this change (and I also think it is a change rather than just a clarification), you now make the rules more confusing, which is not what a clarification is supposed to do.
For example, it means every run of Calendra's Legacy missions 2-3 are now voided, because of using Kharras Drahg's concealment ability to enhance Garrett's stealth power. Sure, this is a magical ability-enhancing weapon, not something you ingest, but the principle people are fronting here is that that doesn't make a difference. If anything that buffs your abilities is disallowed, then this sword shouldn't be allowed either. It would mean both those missions are not Supreme ghostable, and both should now be chemical success instead of regular success.
Sorry, this doesn't seem right.

klatremus, is the taking /use of that weapon mandatory? If so then not an issue.
But I doubt anything will get added to the rules to say that 'Potions are forbidden / frowned upon (and this includes anything that has the same effects as the potions)', but presumably no-one would object if an individual ghost was to self-declare a run as 'equivalent to a chemical success' or similar.

In mission 2, it is optional to take, but required if you want to avoid first alerts, which is why I took that early on and used it for the rest of the mission. In mission 3 you start with it in your inventory, whether you get it in mission 2 or not. But it only enhances your ability by darkening your light gem once you have it drawn, so it's a player choice to draw it out in order to use it's abilities. You can finish the mission normally without ever needing to use it.

It's been four years and over 600 posts. Haven't you people figured out the rules yet?

:laff:
Marbleman I got a chuckle out of that. If that goes we will have to get rid of Rope Arrows too. I have personally broken some long falls with Rope Arrows.

Klatremus,
You asked me a question about 2 months ago on the subject of Lock Picking and some maybe being unnecessary in Supreme Ghost. That went right by and I never replied to it. Actually it is not an easy quick answer either, though I do have an answer. Let me get my thoughts together and I will lay it out for you.
Just a note. I haven't forgotten this Klatremus. There isn't just a quick explain it all answer. Am writing a short dissertation off line to post. Mostly done but want to let it sit and read over it.

Wow, looking forward to your answer, although I won't award you a PhD. :p
