Hey. Haven't seen that before and I've been using BeOS on and off for some time. Well I finally got it to work, but since I haven't got a version of Mac OS 8.5 to 9.0.4 I can't get any further. I've asked around some danish mac communities for used OS8.5-9.0 discs but their prices have been quite crazy. Like i would pay around $75 for it. So I'm stuck here. The worst thing is that this might be our best chance to get shock to work even if it's a bit of a hassle.

I'm tired... but I've made it work... System Shock is now playable in OSX via Sheepshaver.
It's very buggy... or sheepshaver is. And it wont play movies.. but the game works, and plays with sound.
Sheepshaver is truly a bitch to work with... well the mac version is. It would seem it's better in win or linux ironically. I've spent a lot of time making it work. But there seems to be some instability issues that makes it almost unplayable not that I had expected anything else.
I'll go to bed now.. school from 9am to 4pm and work from 6pm to 11pm.... it's 2am now.. but got the whole day off tomorrow. I'll post something more rational then.

I can't seem to contact the user that is selling that to see if it is legit or not- is there any one here that could get that user's email address for me? Apparently you have to have a 'full account' (meaning, have listed games on there) in order to access that person's contact information.
I really want to get my hands on a Mac version of Shock1... if anyone could help me it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks Kolya! I will look into it as well.

Thanks for that! Next step for me is to get a mac mini and see if I can get it to work... :)

Just tell me if it works, that's all I ask. Otherwise I can take it down from SBF and save the space for something else. :)

It wont. Not to be a pessimist but the mini is more or less an ibook hardware-wise. And the problem lies more in the design of Classic OS than in the hardware.
If Sheepshaver ever reaches something stable that will probably be the place to go. Right now Shock is playable in Sheepshaver IF you don't save. I haven't tried Sheepshaver with OS9. That might be a way to go. I'll try do something about it in the weekend.
But: Good luck Saam, I really hope you can crack this...

In which OS does MacShock run? I mean what was it designed for? OS8?
