I kind of miss the Wild Territory when it was only populated by some enemy soldiers and bandits. Just kill those and it was a nice place to relax and collect artifacts.

I recently found an upgraded MP5 (with silencer) in the Dark Valley at the stalker camp, one of the stalkers there had it. Even though the description tells it differs from ordinary model only by silencer, but actually the thing also has no recoil at all! I hadn't come across recoilless weapon in Stalker until now.
It seems this special MP5 beats the speedfire AKS74 I found in Strelock's hideout, killing enemies more effectively thanks to more precise fire.

That's Vampire's weapon. Strange that you hadn't found it yet, since you can get a mission to kill Vampire, and he always carries that weapon.
There's at least one other recoilless weapon in the game: the balanced L85A1, which you can get in the Wild Territory from Scarecrow.

I just didn't check weapons that enemies dropped, and this one wasn't in the inventory. Somehow thought that all special weapons remained in the inventory.
Balanced L85A1 looks very interesting to me, will have to check it.

Two things-
Scarecrow...? Who is he, and where is he found?
And is the balanced L85 good enough to take to the Sarcophagus?

Scarecrow is in the Army Warehouses. He usually hangs around three other stalkers that you can get optional missions to kill, near that fire where usually Wolf is found dead. You can actually get three unique weapons from those guys: the balanced L85A1 (from Scarecrow), the lightened L85A1 (from Master), and the Combat Chaser shotgun (from Father Diodor). Usually what happens to me is that I go there with two missions to do: 'Kill Master stalker' (mission given by Snitch - he's the annoying 'My information might well be of use to you, stalker' at the bar) and 'Kill the traitor' (given by Baldy, another stalker you'll find inside the Bar). But when I attack those two, the other stalkers nearby also attack me, so I end up killing everyone and getting all three unique weapons.
And at least for me, the balanced L85A1 isn't good enough for the Sarcophagus. Doesn't do enough damage, especially when you're faced with so many stalkers equipped with Exoskeletons. My weapon of choice for the final stages of the game is the Vintorez (inflicts nearly three times more damage than the L85A1).

Ah, I think I know who you mean. One other thing- how do you usually kill exo troops? I've taken to just shooting them all in the head, but I'd like to know if there's an easier way.
And on a completely unrelated note- anyone know what the disembodied voice in the Sarcophagus is saying?

No, headshot is the easiest way. Grenades sometimes help too.

I don't remember literally, but in short it's saying "come to me, I'll give you all you want".

it's the wishgranter talking to you:
Come to me.
You will gain what you deserve.
Your wish will soon come true.
Come to me.
Your path is ending.
Come to me.
Only one will be rewarded.

For some reason that voice evoked me Alan Rickman as Rasputin, speaking in my head.
