i just got caught stealing something from the mages guild [actually i didnt even mean i steal it, i clicked on it by accident, but did not have a recent save :mad: ]
where can i find the correct plant extracts? i cant find them anywhere. For some reason the map marker points to the back of the arcane university, but i cant get there: the gate is permanently locked so i can only get to the front of the university,

the only way i can think of is to get back into the mages guild sumhow and get all ur recommendations to get into the arcane university. once u do that they give u the key to get in. iv never been kicked out so im not sure about how to get back into the mages guild, but im sure there is a way.
ps. wen u get into the university [SPOILER]n u hav to make a staff, make the paralysis staff, its the best 1.[/SPOILER]

You can find both of them in County skingrad or just by going to alchemy shops.
[SPOILER]Personally I perfer shock for the mages staff, 80 shock damage firing quite quickly has gotten me through some tight spotts, 8 seconds paralyze is ok, but why knock someone down when you can kill them.[/SPOILER]

The staff you get from the Mage's Guild is a levelled item. The higher your level when you pick it up (capped at about 35 IIRC) the more powerful it will be. And you only get ONE of them.

Don't worry, there is other staffs equally as powerful, greater staff of lighting is the exact same strength, its random, I think I got one off a lich, I think I have only ever seen one which is why I got it as a mage's staff instead (and I think mage's staff also has more uses). The staff of the apotheosis is the most powerful, 33 frost, 33 fire & 33 shock, forgot where I got it though:p

he asked about the plants needed and you answered by saying staffs wtf if you can get 1 of each ingredient ill give you a cheat to copy that item [SPOILER]duplication: get a bow and arrows of any kind and equip them. then pull the bow back and go to your inventory select the arrows and then drop the item you want to copy it should make a bunch of the item but be warned if you make more than 180 of an item it may freeze the ammount of copies depends upon how many arrows you have[/SPOILER]

Already answered the question then moved onto a new topic because there were things to be said but it would excessive/spammy to make a new thread just to reply. But on the orginial subject, the duplication glitch won't work if you have the patch installed.

Ok....I never really searched the Skingrad area....as I bought most of mine through the Alchemy shops. Skingrad shops did give me a good start though. The Main ingrediant in Imperial City also re-stocks one of them about every week.
If it helps though I did find one Dragons tongue plant at the Black Dog Camp. It's around the rocks. Just like the shops you have to keep checking it while doing quest until you get the 20 and 20.
Sorry if the Black Dog thing was a spoiler....I'm new and figured I'd answer the best I could......:erm:
