Well.....dunno about X-Box, but the PC ver. on MY PC's, was all but unplayable. I had to give up. Shame, it's a GREAT game.

Odd, I had no problems with the PC version at all.
Overall, I'd recommend getting the PC version simply because you can't patch or mod the XBox version and you have to play it using a controller (mouse == joy, especially for games that involve inventory manipulation or rune drawing). But if xbox is your only option go for it.

XBOX is my only choice because my pc is really smegging bad, so XBOX will have to do.

I've not played the XBox version, but Arx is certainly a fine game. You should enjoy it!
The PC version has its issues, and I would suspect that the XBox version does too, but if you can look past them there's a heap of great stuff inside. (I see it as a flawed gem kind of a game. A little rough around the edges, but still a fabulous find!)

I've played Arx Xbox. The interface, specifically the inventory, is a bit clunkier in comparison, and the graphics aren't quite as sharp and vivid as the PC version, but other than that it's the exact same game.

Actually it has a few graphical improvements over the PC version regarding pixel shader effects (water, torches), but other than that it's the same. I kinda liked how they redid the inventory/interface, made for quick access if you carried little. What I didn't care for was the ugy framerate in the city of Arx, and the absence of mouse-gesturing for spells.

I now have played Arx Fatalis up to the point of getting the dragon eggs, and thigame is brilliant!
