Get more skillpoints by cheating... - by Kaleid

Wondering if theres any cheat that I can give myself a few more skillpoints, something like "addskillpoint 3000". Does anything like this exist?
Not the "allskillpoint" cheat since that makes the game too easy = boring. I'm on my way to play it through for the sixth or seventh time, so a little cheating would be nice.

There are two that I know of:
1) At Vandenburg (sp?), you have to enter a number into two keypads in order to reactivate power. For this, you get 200 skill points per keypad IIRC. However, this number can be entered unlimited times to gain unlimited skill points.
2) The Gary Savage glitch - detailed (

Not sure of any others though.

Ah, didn't know about the first one.
Problem is that it's a bit too late in the game, both of them.
Is there really nothing like: "add jcdentonmale skillpoints X"?
X = amount of skillpoints.

There's definitely a way to do it - I don't remember how. Check out some DX sites, that's how I figured it out way back when.

So far as I know, cheatingplanet has the most extensive list of Deus Ex Cheats.
Also, for in-game skill-point bugs: The first two in the game are on doors at the Brooklyn Naval Shipyards -- one on the office door keypad in the warehouse, the other on the door leading to ammo storage (off the catwalk).
In each case, the point total gained is small (20 and 30 respectively), but they can add up quickly with repetition. Just make sure you don't blow them up.

Fantastic, if you ask me, just my cup o' tea. It gives you hint after hint, only the last one will say what you have to do.
Example:
You have to open a door, and use a battering ram for that. Hints could be like:
1. There's no key for that door.
2. Maybe you could open it otherwise?
3. Smash it, for example?
4. Think medieval.
5. Use the ram to crash the door.

Well, I found another endless skillpoint cheat.
Area 51: You get 50 Skillpoints when you turn on the power for the elevator in the Bunker. You get it again if you turn it off and walk around the cage area. Again for turning it on...etc.
Just keep turning it off/on and walking around the cage for as many points as you have the patience for.
