He really was a fifth Beatle. The man played on so many of their tunes and was instrumental in their success. God speed George Martin. Great work. Thanks for the memories.

I wonder how many people thought, "Man, now he's never going to finish A Song of Ice and Fire..."

A man with great musical knowledge who made the Beatles into what they became. He was also a really nice guy.
Another great musical talent gone in 2016
RIP Sir George Martin

Listens to Eleanor Rigby and Penny Lane, and thats just the start of his amazing arrangements.

*raises hand*Hell yeah.
Especially since season 6 is about to start. In a month or so.
I almost wished it was grrm that had died.
Just so I could have said: "told you so!".
FYI, I think book 6 might be released in 2018 or 2019.
Book 7 (the final book) will never be released.

R.I.P. the other George.
I didn't know him. (Might have heard his name once).

Sir George Martin. I have added to the title to fend off GOT fan panic. It's got a lot of people scared on the net at large. Not being a watcher of Game of Thrones, I was not even aware of "R R". He's still doing well in Santa Fe supposedly. Yau'll can relax now. SGM was 90, so he had aa good long life. Sad the hear he is gone, but it was his time. He left the world a better sounding place.

I don't think I really understood how studio recording worked until I discovered Martin. His work with the Beatles was groundbreaking and still a benchmark for me. Such an inspired and talented guy, hate to lose him but what a ride. He literally helped change the world.
