So there I am, doing Thieves' Guild and Bal Molagmer missions, and suddendly Jim Stacey says he's off to a vacation on the mainland! And I've got Bal Molagmer missions still going... :/
Will he be back, or can I bring him back somehow?

I can't really remember, but I don't think he comes back. And you won't be able to bring him back, either, unless you're one of those guys with the PC version that like to tinker around with it.

Once you finish the thieve's guild quests, Stacey leave for good. Best to to the other quests first. If you have a savegame before he leaves you could use that.

Yes he is scripted to leave once you have done all the quests. Which means you can not advance anymore. I talked to one of the theifs guild people and they just tell me to go to him for an advancement.
Anyone know how to gain the last rank?
