OK, so which Ashlander camp is it? Urshilaku?
drukhen on 3/11/2002 at 21:39
yes, Ushrilaku....
I didn't know there are more than one...

Yep, there are 4 altogether, you'll have to deal with them all eventually during the course of the main quest, but for the moment you'll only need to stick with Urshilaku.
You seem to have done everything right in getting permission from the Wise Woman etc....it's difficult to tell what may have gone wrong without knowing more details, but the easiest way to fix things would be to cast a "Calm Humanoid" spell on the Chief, then you can bribe him up to 100 disposition while the spell's in effect. Hopefully he won't want to attack you by the time it's worn off.
You haven't killed any members of that tribe, or stolen from them or anything like that have you?

I didn't kill nor steal... yet I have entered his tent before getting permission and he treatened to kill me unless I leave.... so I did....
this Clam Humanoid.... can it be purchased in the camp????
thanx

Ah right, I think you may have ticked him off by entering his tent first to the point where he now dislikes you so much he attacks on sight.......
As for the Calm Humanoid.....according the editor the Urshilaku wise woman Nibani Maesa has a spellmaking service, so you may be able to pay her to create a custom Calm Humanoid spell. But it can be quite expensive and you'll need to make sure it has a high enough chance of succeeding.....your game manual should have info, on spellmaking. You also need a reasonable Illusion skill to cast it successsfully, although of course you can save first and try again as many times as you need to,

I seem to remember that there are quite a few calm humanoid scrolls aroud. Check your collection if you have one.
I don't seem to use scrolls much, mainly because I can't put them into the quick thingy slot (the one activated by the F1 key). This is very annoying; putting enchanted items in these slots does not work either, I can only use it for spells and potions. Is this how it's supposed to be, or is there something wrong with my game?

I seemed to be able to put enchanted items, scrolls, spells, potions there...

When you select a spell to put into your hotkeys you should also be able to select the various scrolls and charged items, look at the bottom of that list.
