Hah, did I see a report that John Prescott's website has gotten into some sort of trouble over a Twitter link, possibly some sort of click fraud? The Beeb seem to have pulled the article from their news pages.

I doubt any of them are likely to do much of any substance about the yawning budget deficit. Looking over the 2009 budget was a bit disturbing given that they were projecting to spend about 200 billion quid more than was actually likely to come in via HMRC receipts. The parties can claim what they like but there isn't any more money to spend. In fact, less than no money. If anyone can make sense of the budget I'll eat my crocs...
Budget 2010 says less than 170 bill deficit, but that's not great. If whichever government does a bit more "quantitative easing" we will be in the same state as Japan very soon.

Technically it still has to go to the Lords again, who could amend it further and pass it back to the Commons. Not very likely of course, but possible.

Yes I do.
I'd like to dig into this statement, but to be honest, given that I left the UK in the midst of the Labour government and have heard pretty much only bad things since I left (from people who also can't wait to get out if they can), I probably don't have a terribly unbiased view on the matter.
I think Labour are a mob of useless fuckwits personally and apply policy in a way that's at best misguided and at worst destructive.

...and apply policy depending upon what the previous days editorials in The Sun and Daily Mail had to say

If I read either of those things or associated with people who did read either of those things, maybe you'd have a shred of a point. However, if you're one of those people for whom Labour can do no wrong, you're welcome to the UK in its current state.

New Labour are terrible but the rot started long before Blair came to power.
We'll all still be voting for Neoliberalism.
If Cameron were any more of a lightweight the wind would carry him off. There's only the Lib Dems left to vote for but I don't know if I can trust myself to do that in the voting booth. I would have to not think of Nick Clegg and his stupid face. Must ..think.. of ....a ...wall...
