You might not get your wish - the final Leaders Debate will probably take over the news and analysis from tomorrow.
I actually feel a bit sorry for Brown over this - it's one of those nightmares people have where they give a career-threatening blow to themselves and then realise "OMG what have I just done?!?". I wonder how the other parties are dealing with it, when they probably do stuff like this all the time but haven't been caught out.

The most shameful thing about this whole episode, I feel, is how the media have treated this. First the Sky news team for releasing a private conversation, then baiting this women into reacting to it and blowing it out of all proportion. One of the worst parts was the video of two reporters following her down a street continuously goading her into saying something newsworthy. At one point she answers a phone call and the guy interrupts her mid conversation to say she was on Live TV.
The past few weeks the PM has been criticised for being dull and not appearing 'human' enough, this mistake or whatever you want to call it actually raises my opinion of him (not by much mind).

I don't mind him making the gaffe, but what I do mind is this disingenuous apology. If he thought she was a bigot he thought she was a bigot.
Classic case of a man who can't stick to his guns backtracking. And it also shows that all he really cares about, all his party cares about, is pleasing people at face value. They don't want to change the country for the better - if they did they wouldn't have done many of the things they have. All they are interested in is staying in power.
Out with them!

While I agree with you about the general disingenuousness of politicians who are only concerned with pleasing people to make themselves look good, I'm not as quick to disregard his apology. Listening to the conversation I almost felt like it was a very off the cuff remark which I'm sure we're all guilty of (I.e. Not Feeling it necessary take the time to find the right word when talking to someone in private), and therefore his apology could be heartfelt.
I've been quite pleased with the recent surge in support for the Lib-Dems (even if for no other reason than to show how disenchanted the electorate is with politics in general), though I don't feel that any outcome in this election could possibly be worth celebrating.

I didn't hear anything about ramming her opinion up her shitter with a lubricated horse cock.
False advertising.

Its kinda annoying, this stuff about Brown's bigot comment since he was telling the truth: she is a bigot.

Even if he didn't feel the need to apologise for calling her a bigot (yeah, she was) apologising for dragging her into a political/ publicity circus would certainly be appropriate.

Fuck them. They lost all right to having a private conversation about politics when they stepped into the political arena.

I don't give a shit about some offhand private comment that isn't relevant to the policies (unless you think it illustrates a reluctance to deal with immigration, which is a fair point). What's worth getting worked up about is how this government has destroyed civil liberties and invaded our privacy whilst at the same time fighting to keep what should be public information hidden from the taxpayer. Try keep things in perspective, that's all I'm saying.

If we're going to discuss the impact of foreigners at large in this country then let's start with Murdoch.
