One of the problems with minority governments and coalitions is that the Markets really don't like them

By the way, one of my friends sent me (
http://voteforpolicies.org.uk/) this link today. You mention what policies matter to you, and it asks you which of a set of annonymous statements you agree with - you choose one and it then tells you at the end which party has policies aligned to your views.
... wtf, (
http://voteforpolicies.org.uk/survey/results/4BC73C4D9FFDD) I'm a Broonite?!
... I'm off to top myself now.

The problem with that site is that it goes by what the parties say, rather than what they'll do (or have done). For example, none of the six policies on democracy had anything about stifling free speech, which the BNP would do.

I came out with 1 answer for LibDem, 1 Labour, 1 Conservative, 1 UKIP, and 1 Green. So I still don't know who to vote for :grr:
75% Green, 25% Lib Dem. No surprises at all
I'll be voting Lib Dem despite the (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chingford_and_Woodford_Green_(UK_Parliament_constituency)#Election_results) unchallengable majority in my constituency of the man, the legend: I.D.S. Though in fairness I think he's one of the better Tories.
You may also note the man who has changed his name to None Of The Above for this election which is almost a vote swinger
Edit: Debate time!

On the Tories' website it looks like Cameron wins the race to be first leader to be shown with his sleeves rolled up.

Coo! TV debate thing!
Full of surprises. First was that Gordon Broon wasn't so bad. Second was that Nick Clegg was Ok and actually did a few things really rather well. Third is that it completely failed to excite me ~ I'm not sure why I'm always taken aback by how timid British politics is, but there you are. Fourth is that (oh god I've forgotten his name) David Cameron, for all his slick presentation skills, was an utter flop, because he - probably the next prime minister - doesn't have a policy to stand on, on any issue - bugger me.
Clegg and Brown can not have been prepared for how dire Cameron was - because they certainly didn't capitalise on it and only managed a few limp attacks - but fuck me - the UK deficit is oversized by the order of 10s of billlions of pounds and the Conservative's big plan is to go about the entire public sector looking for individual items of spending that they think are a bit over the top - cancel a police lexus here, a (did he give any other examples?) something else there and we'll get that deficit fixed in no time. It's reminiscent of McCain and Palin going on and on about the government 'wasting' $4m on a school overhead projector that turned out to be match funding along with the private sector for a replacement for a decades old planatarium projector that educates tens of thousands of kids each year.
And excuse me, but if you get rid of 10% of MPs that means that we get less representation.
Bugger me. Did I say that already.

Latest YouGov daily tracker poll for The S*n newspaper:
Con 33 (-4)
LD 30 (+8)
Lab 28 (-3)

They couldn't possibly...
...could they?

Well, who knows, politics is a funny old game. Any thoughts that that poll was an aberration from a single pollster are misplaced, however:
ComRes poll for the Sunday Mirror and Independent on Sunday:
Con 31 (-4)
LD 29 (+8)
Lab 27 (-2)
ICM poll for the Sunday Telegraph:
Con 34 (-3)
Lab 29 (-2)
LD 27 (+7)
I think I will take the BPIX/YouGov poll for the Mail on Sunday with a pinch of salt though :laff:
LD 32 (+12)
Con 31 (-7)
Lab 28 (-3)
Of course, even if the Lib Dems do top the poll with 32%, they will still end up with the third highest number of seats. The case for electoral reform has never been so persuasive.

Yes he was. He was his usual dull, socially awkward self who came across as a man with a good heart but without the charisma or understanding necessary to make a good Prime Minister. His tie was also a bad choice, a rather nasty pink when it should have been a brilliant Scarlet colour.
Clegg spent far too much time, on several occasions, telling us how he
hates the precious would like to get rid of Trident nuclear submarines now that the world works on the honour system. Which it doesn't.
Cameron was rather nondescript.
The most controversial part was when Salmon had the cheek to pop up on the news saying it was outrageous that he wasn't allowed in the debate too. Ha-ha!
