Are you going to play either/both? I managed to read all 4 pages of this thread without getting bored so I hope it continues.
And as I've just noticed on the front page, happy birthday GBM :)

Heheheh...
Well. Here's how things stand now:
Since poking Dagoth Ur and hitting that big skellington's internal organs with various Implements Of Destruction, I have decided to put Morrowind away until I get Tribunal and Blood Moon. There are still a lot of things I've not done or seen (mostly burial chambers and caves) and I still haven't really explored Red Mountain or the Grazelands that thoroughly. Plus I saw a TON of stuff I deliberately walked right by in and around Sheogorad, so there's all that to do.
I've already replayed Vice City, Alice, and MDK2 since stopping Dagoth Ur, so the recent memories of Morrowind are subdued. Which is a good thing, as I'll come at the game somewhat refreshed when I have the expansions.

Tribunal is fun and really freshens the game up, but Bloodmoon is the real gem of the series, IMHO. The expansions are both also great as a challenge for uber-characters. Bloodmoon in particular will really cut you down to size.

Bloodmoon is really quite difficult. My char was really well kitted out, had all the best stuff from the previous two games and a few creation of my own. But some of those beasties are really though.
A refreshing change :D
A pretty good game as well, in terms of plot.
You'll love it.
Nicer looking, in places, than either of the previous two offerings.
But mostly...It better because you can swim to the island in bloodmoon. You don't need to rely on some mage to transport you there.

Okay, got Tribunal (or, as I like to call it, Sewer Adventure) and am currently beetling about underground (there's a surprise) in a Dwemer ruin called Soulforge. Apparently I'm supposed to make ash storms (fs still with the ash -- that batty orange chick nearly got a smack upside the mouth for saying 'ash' to me) or similar. It's all good.
I feel a bit cheated though. I'm sure it was supposed to be some kind of omg moment to find out the bionic velociraptors weren't Dwemer, but it was painfully obvious they were probably Sotha Sil's, what with all the blatant hinting about Clockwork Cities and all.
Big giggle on the naked Nord in the plaza.
"We're not all stupid and getting tricked by witches you know. Some of us just like to take our clothes off."
:D
Gotta say that I'm not finding enemies much harder. I kinda wandered aimlessly around slaughtering gobbos and Dark Brotherhoods, and even that dude with the Mazed Band (who I assume was supposed to be toughguy) kinda fell over after four or five pokes and didn't even scratch me, despite landing at least four hits.
But the crashing is back (boo) and I have learned to save before entering a new load area. Actually, I learned that while escorting Dink down to the profane shrine. Motherfucker would never follow me through a door, and when I went back to get him he'd be gone. So I learned to save and retry.
Right now I'm just about to head back up to the plaza to see if my ass storm power was activated, but (of course) it crashed. And seeing as how I have a save right before I opened the Crash Door (yay me) and that it is after 5 am, I think I shall give it a rest for the night. I have to be up in three hours anyway.

Strangely enough, I just got the GOTY edition. I'm not looking forward to crashes, certainly, but one does get the expansions in the package.
I take it you haven't had a peep at the editor thing yet, GBM?
Gingerbread Man on 17/11/2003 at 17:11
Hell, yeah. I've played with the editor extensively, stopping short only of making my own archichunks. I'm running two small mods of my own, nothing fancy just a couple of places to live in Ald Ruhn and Caldera, and a new island north of Tel Whatever with my pet Hungers, a farm, and few flunkies to hang out with. And I was working on a big underground bog city kinda thing up until I put it away last month.
Editor's pretty bofffo, even if the creativity aspect of it is kinda stifled (unless you make your own chunks).
scumble on 17/11/2003 at 20:52
Right. I suppose you have had it for over a month, staying up early etc.
I loaded the game but a few hours ago, got killed by a bird while searching for some mushrooms for one of the tiger beast things...
Strangely, when I loaded Tribunal and Bloodmoon, the whole game speeded up considerably, which indicates a bit of sloppy coding...
Best play it a bit more before I edit much...

You chose a Hunger as a pet over an Ogrim?! Who wouldn't love to cuddle up to a big green walking elephant that looks like William "The Refrigerator" Perry with a nipple ring? A freaking nipple ring!! How can you go wrong?
You're a weird one, brogueman.
