Yes.:thumb:
And the Kurshok invoke Lovecraft's "Deep Ones." The texture file for that "creepy" statue is labeled "cthuludeat", for Chthulhu Death.

Also: the whole concept for the character of Gamall is very, very lovecraftian - an obscenely old body snatcher using forbidden, arcane knowledge... All shades of The Thing on the Doorstep, Charles Dexter Ward etc.

This is a surprise, I didn't recognize his voice so far, and i talked to The Mechanist just yesterday... well, he's a good voice actor.
van HellSing on 30/12/2008 at 16:09
Ehh, the Mechanist was brought up as an example of a possible Thief reference, not because he was voiced by Stephen.
If you want to hear Stephen, you get your first chance just at the beginning of the game, he's voicing Andy, the mr Handy robot in Vault 101 (the one that cuts the birthday cake). I only realised it was him recently.
More recognisable is his voice for the character of Harold (The Great One), where you can definitely hear the Benny persona at times.

Ah, and I've read in one review that Harold doesn't sound as impressive and funny as good old Charlie Adler made him sound before... :erg:
van HellSing on 30/12/2008 at 16:44
Well, that's pretty understandable - first, this is always the reaction when someone else takes over the acting for an established character, and second, Harold is not really in a good mood in F3. He's immobilised by the growing Bob and wants to die.

WAHA! There's a place in Fallout 3 called "Fort Constantine"... Thief reference, maybe? :D

One of the combat responses by the mr. Handy robots (the ones voiced by Stephen) really made me chuckle:
(

Necros on 9/1/2009 at 13:15
:laff: Yeah, I noticed that too. At first I didn't realize where it was familiar from but then I just started laughing and my character died. :D

I had fun when Fawkes started hunting radroach with his Gattling Laser. When he finally got him he was happy as usual : "I WIN AGAIN!"
Dear Fawkes, look at that poor roach, don't you think it was an overkill?
