Bikerdude, you DO realize that the forum automatically puts your name next to every one of your posts, yes? While there's a certain sort of admirable crazy to the people who consistently post their entire name, wimping out like this is beyond sad. If you don't have the energy for it anymore... just stop. For the love of god, stop already.
Hmm and there I had thought you had grown out of your acerbic remarks, but point taken. That said plenty of people put a short version of their forum name at the end of their posts, so why does my doing annoy you so..?
:p

ZB has cordially hated everyone I've seen that does it, so it's not just you!

I think in general it's because this is a discussion forum. We're not writing each other letters, we're having a conversation. And generally, in a conversation, one doesn't attach a signature to their every remark. For people who read these threads as dialogues (ie, most people), it's jarring and disruptive to the flow. And since TTLG is more literate than most forums, signing each post is perhaps even less appropriate here.
(no offense intended, of course. just an honest explanation)

It's more that he started out signing every post in this thread "biker", then devolved into simply typing "b.". Since the entire point of signing your name after every post is to be one of those crazy obsessive-compulsives who sign their name after every post, this struck me as a peculiarly tragic fail. It's like his own compulsion was wearing him down... and yet... he was still compelled. Obsession versus exhaustion. Mind vs body. Oh the humanity!
