Over Christmas we had some friends over from the UK; in January they're moving in together and will eventually buy a console, so I tried to gently nudge them in the direction of the PS4, so we could play online games with them.
Which got me to think: what games are there - for the PS4 or for any other system, really - that offer local and online coop *at the same time*? I'm thinking of games such as Diablo 3, where I could play with my wife locally and our friends could join us playing over in the UK.
The ones I've come up with (though I'm not 100% certain about all of them) are:
- Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris
- Little Big Planet 3
- Borderlands: The Handsome Collection
What others are there?

Rocket league, on the PS4. It's also available on the PC but unsure if you can combine local with online on the PC version. Ditto for Gauntlet Slayer edition.

While not co-op, you can indeed do this in Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed.
Unconfirmed, but I suspect Monaco and Hammerwatch and most Worms games would allow this.

I can confirm that Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris supports local and online co op at the same time. We were playing it last night and Sulphur somehow managed to start 2 characters at once from his computer. Without trying to, I might add. :p

I tried playing the other character with my feet; that explains why various other things may or may not have happened.

Hey, anyone who's played Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons should be capable of playing two characters at the same time. Two-player four-character coop, baby!
