So am I correct in assuming this. NO SKILLS? so its not a FPS/RPG anymore? Thats too bad. I saw it reffered to as an action/adventure. I really liked the skill points thing, It let you know if you were exploring correctly etc. It will still be good regardless, but I wish it were more DXish, I'm reffering to the first one. i.e. No focus on multiplayer, simple graphics GREAT gameplay. I hope they don't sacrifice gameplay, replay value, etc. Just for multiplayer, and portability.... Well in anycase Its looks great and I'm getting my "computar mochene" upgrades pretty soon so I'll be ready to go when it FINALLY comes out.

They're supposed to be replaced by "bio-mods"... we'll see how that turns out. At least it sounds like a better explanation than going from untrained to master skill with a few clicks.

A better explanation doesn't necessairly make a better game :(

Now, Deus Ex 2 news fires my rocket as much as the next man, but -
WAITASECONDHERE!
What the hell is up with that STUPID eye thing around your crosshair? To all those who don't know, or havn't seen the right screenshots or whatever, there's this center blue blob, solid, and a ENORMOUS blue line right round it. It covers the entire screen practically! It is completely against the minimalist, frankly beautiful trend of the other areas of the HUD, all of which is perfect, by the way, but the central eye-thing (as hence it shall be known) is very out of place. I sure hope theres a "cross-hair off" option as in DE1.

Ronald: I think you can choose your crosshair.

Then I am happy. Oh yes.
In Deus Ex 2, the stealthy-ness will be majorly improved with realistic shadows, artificial shenanigans and a decent sound system (i.e, making noise and people hearing you), but I sure hope the BLOW-THE-HELL-OUT-OF-ANYTHING-THAT-MOVES terminator players will have improvements made to their area. I'm not being ungrateful, I just don't want my side of Deus to be left out. Does anyone know anything about changes to the killing things in DE2?

Quote:
We've learned a lot about how to make combat more visceral. As with the first game, we track body location damage, so head shots are more lethal. We now rag-doll bodies upon death, so corpses will flip-flop all over the place, tumbling squidlike down stairs or falling and hanging limply over railings. All the weapons in DX2 have alternate-fire modes, and we've tried to make all of these tactically interesting.

VERY, VERY GOOD. WELL DONE, Mr. Amorpheus, a fine piece of research.
The only things to hope for now are:
1) The ability to have Alex Denton with DUAL PISTOLS.
2) Bodily deformation such as that in Soldier of Fortune 2 (but better).
ICEBreaker on 21/6/2002 at 10:20
I vote no dual pistols.
