I don't mind if there's swimmable water or not. I know it's a classic feature and it probably was discussed to the death, but I always thought wet thief isn't a good thief.
I loved how they made fun of it in MGS, where after infiltrating the place by swimming underwater you had to find meds, because you got cold, and your character was sneezing again and again, and that alerted the guards :laff:

"Fireballs"?! What the hell? It becomes more and more clear to me that they haven't really played any of the previous games.

Fire mages throw fireballs, fire elementals throw fireballs, various magical traps throw blue fireballs. Mechanist priests throw a kind of fiery cog-ball. There were quite a lot of fireballs at some points in Thief.

Come on, your paymasters have you on instruction to agree with us when we deduce something correctly.
A joke. :joke:
There is no pay and there are no instructions to agree with you.
Also EM wouldn't waste their time on such folly as the one you imagine.

While some of the things like ghostable missions and keeping the light gem sounded encouraging, I like less and less what I hear and see about Garrett. So apparently now he's rich enough to start collecting things... like all the pretentious people he used to sneer at.
I really think they should've went with a new character or a spiritual successor approach. Now they are reinventing a game and a character that a lot of people feel don't need reinventing.

They said a number of
unique and meaningful things... so I imagine it might be special tools of trade or artifacts that somehow connect to the plot narrative.

If they hadn't chosen Garrett, I think a lot more people would be complaining.

Now we're complaining because he's Garrett in name only.

Yes, I've noticed that
some, but not many, hold this opinion.
