Everything else seems to be working fine. It just freezes when I pause the game. I have to keep hitting escape to go back and forth until it lets me move the cursor and select anything. Any ideas?

What game is it?...and if you haven't already, try reinstalling the game.

Apologies. Thief 2: The Metal Age. I already tried re-installing. Nada.

Already did :( I installed ddfix and I already had all the patches. I've also checked to make double sure it's only running with one processor. I thought this problem was odd because everything else is working fine, including the movies. It's just when I go into my menus (pause, save/load, map, etc.)

Did you make sure and not install it in the Program Files folder?...and what are your system specs?

Dunno about system specs, but where was I supposed to install the game? It's all in Program Files right now.

Pretty much anywhere but there..lol
Try C:\games and if its not there then create it.
For some reason program files installs always cause trouble. Hope this helps!

Re-installed it into the Games folder; didn't change anything though.
How do I find out what my system specs are? (Sorry if I should know that already)

On your keyboard, press the "Windows button" + r to bring up a run dialogue. Then enter "dxdiag" and press enter. You should see your Operating sytem listed, as well as your Processor and memory. Click on the display tab to see what kind of video card you have.
