Also if you're out of med patches just go hunting to the med level where hybrids zombies spawn.

The Laser Rapier is my weapon of choice against Maintenance - Level 3's Inviso-Mutants. :cheeky:

Mine too, but that still doesn't mean that I want to hang around the level for too long when I arrive there for the first time :)

There's a Laser Rapier on level 3 guarded by a Sec-1 Bot. If you can get that (save a shot or two on your Magpulse), the Inviso-Mutants become MUCH easier to handle. But, yeah. Even still you'll be running back to Level 1 to use the healing bed and farm Mutants for Medi patches.
Alternatively, you can skip it until later as others have said. It's a Looking Glass game. You're not meant to contend with everything when first you see it. The game is non-linear in layout, so you may have to skip difficult sections until better prepared.
