My xbox freezes up on me a lot while I'm playing which is frusturating to say the least. It not the box it's the game. Does anybody else have this problem? I got really far today, but stupid me I didn't go to sleep so it could autosave. And when I tried to save it just as I finished my final mage guild quest it froze up on me and ruined my game.
I have autosave I can play off, but I've got redo 3 mages guild quests, three imperial legion quests, reduel the master of the legion, refind a whole bunch of other stuff and I don't even remember what else! From now I going to sleep a lot and save two separate files of my game.
Why does it freeze up so much? The disc is not scratched.

I hate to say it, but get used to it. I seem to jinx every system I have. My Morrowind game crashes more often than anyone else's game on both XBox and PC. Especially PC. But it saves a lot faster on the pc so I save more often.
Everyone has that kind of problem and there's not much you can do. Sorry :( Just try and keep your XBox clean, cool and somewhere in the open. And check your disc everytime to make sure it's clean.

I've also read on Bethesda's support site for Morrowind that there is a problem (issue) with the cache becomeing corrupt/full, etc... they have instructions on how to deal with this (it's a side effect of not having all the memory/drive space that PCs do apparently, sounds like a poor excuse for bad programming to me :D ).
It takes some time, but save often, and in a couple different spots... that's the best bet.
My first couple of outings with Morrwind where somewhat fustrating just from the fact that I'd get killed very easily.
GOTY is supposed to come out next month (November), hopefully that will help with some of the lockup problems, though I've not heard about this in any of the interviews.
