WTF, a tent is not a good choice of weapon (2:31), as you'd think anyone would know.

It might help prevent being smashed in the face with a riot shield though ?: )

Just be thankful that the poster gave an honest account of the proceedings, including a smiling, friendly looking copper. Not to mention the use of a police van as a rubbish bin lol. Oh yeah, and dethtoll's offensive sticky tape.
The overall impression I got from watching other various news feeds was that the more reasonable people were willing to be, the more the authorities hated it.
I'm sure there will be plenty of police officers who are a bit worried about the tactics that were used. Even in the Met.

If only it were filled with rabid racoons. Nobody ever considers the potential of a tent filled with rabid racoons.
Do hope nobody got hurt.

Still, I think the G20 was a huge success and look forward to seeing the IMF using their increased funds to truly become one world bank.
All hail the leader!
Speaking of which, did anyone catch Obama addressing the "younglings" yesterrday as part of the NATO conference? Inspiring stuff, the man really is one hell of a public speaker.

One officer should be particularly worried, because if justice is done, he'll be facing a long stretch inside, now that (
http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2009/apr/07/video-g20-police-assault) this video has emerged.
Which shows an unarmed man on his way home from work being belted by a policeman in the back of the head with a baton. Said chap then went on to later have a heart attack and die. Oh dear.

Officer Donut would be completely screwed in the U.S. as well- the board of inquiry on that would be absolutely brutal. To coin a pun.

Nah, that bobby didn't do anything wrong. As will be proved 7 years later in some inquiry that no-one gets to really hear about/get the details of. You forget that its legal for a policeman to shoot a dego in the mouth as long as another policeman thinks he looks like some paki you're following.
In other news we're all paying for minister's husbands to get off on Raw Meat 3.
I heard a fantastic story on Radio 4. They were in contact with an anarchist leader at the protests but couldn't interview him because he was separated from the news crew by the police line. How did they know? Because he sent a text message. Where did he get the phone? From a shop probably, an evil capitalist shop using evil capitalist money. Go anarchy g
sorry, I lost reception/ran out of credit
What an idiot.

No one has mentioned the Murder(a heart attack after an assault is) of Ian Tomlinson at the hands of the police -(
http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2009/apr/07/ian-tomlinson-g20-death-video) info and footage. As with the Menezes murder case the police have been caught liying and attempting to cover up the facts with propaganda.
The police will attach an unarmed innocent, yet when they are given time and opportunity, do f*** all about bunch of hardcore protesters smashing the RBS windows in. Instead they use kettling on peaceful protesters who had shown no violence towards the police in any way shape or form.
Also the police demand that people delete picture of the police officers before they were would be allowed to leave the area under threat of seizure (
http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2009/feb/12/photographers-anti-terror-laws) under the new anti terror laws
- talk about unrestrained abuse of the law, and/or breaking the law by the police, again.
