And also, presumably, that (even though I think we can agree "being regularly assailed by rockets" is a bad thing, even if they are incredibly ineffective), responding to said rocket attacks by invading Gaza and killing hundreds of people, many of them children, is...a tad disproportionate?
I'd be more tempted to gloat on youtube about how fucking useless the rocketeers apparently were, personally. Hit em where it hurts!

You two are stupid.

A compelling argument indeed!

Surely Hamas didn't expect Israel to just ignore their missile attacks during a period of ceasefire? Not that this amount of force on Israel's part is necessary or even justified, but if you're going to poke a lion with a needle, you should be prepared for a reaction.
Stitch on 7/1/2009 at 19:24
Likewise, if the lion is imposing crippling economic sanctions upon you, the lion should also be prepared for a reaction.
I'm not taking sides here, but it isn't exactly as cut and dried as presented by most coverage I've seen.

The whole area should be nuked from orbit, with everyone involved. I used to care but now I'm just sick of their bullshit.

I know, wont someone please think of the poor westerners? Don't these people realize how much we suffer from having to hear about this and think about it minutes a day? Sometimes I think I cant go on but then my meal arrives and I have a blessed respite from the pain. Please stop this people, if not for your own sakes, then for ours.

Uh oh Stitch, you are about to get taken to task for you're outrageous post acknowledging that this isn't a one sided issue!
I don't know if you are from Israel Denisv or what your problem is, but I suspect Stitch is talking more about news coverage than anything else, which I've noticed myself is entirely one sided in an issue way to complicated to be boiled down to such simplicity.
Most of the opinions expressed in the news seem to be "they have no choice, we would do the same thing" while totally ignoring the complexity of the issue as a whole (see: everything prior to just this incident). I don't understand the issue fully myself, but I (like Stitch) can see there is a lot more to it than is really talked about.
