The issue seems to be a palette problem. I installed Thief Gold and both texture patches and had the exact same issue. I guess Thief doesn't want to play well with .gif file textures for AI meshes.
The texture in question is called monkeyg.gif but I also converted monkey.gif also since it would probably have the same issue (I don't know if it is actually used in the game or not). They are both located in the ThiefG\mesh\txt folder.
Here is what worked for me:
I opened the textures monkey.gif and monkeyg.gif in GIMP and changed their image mode from indexed to RGB and saved them as a .tga (unchecked RLE compression since it changed the brightness a little). Note that you must also rename or delete monkey.gif and monkeyg.gif to something else otherwise it will still try to use the .gif texture and not the .tga.
I would put them up for download somewhere but the forum doesn't support attachments.
Maybe someone should contact the author and include this fix?
As for you problem Azaran, I suppose it could be a replacement pack problem. Maybe that mesh/texture from the pack is conflicting with a FM mesh/texture. I will download that FM soon and see if I have the same problem.

Hi Maxrebo6
Have you took a look at oRGy's site for his texture pack?.
(

Also are you trying to use the Hardware or Software version of this texture pack?.I seem to remember once i installed this texture pack i had to install/run Darkloader and optimize my Thief gold setup, but then i could be wrong(it was over 4 years ago!!).I hope this helps you.

I saw it, it was what led me to check for a palette issue. I am using the hardware version and I think Maxrebo6 is too since he is using ddfix as well. You can optimize your Thief Gold install with Garrettloader as well (AI Meshes weren't displaying at all for me at first so that's what I did).
Edit: Here is a link to the replacement textures.

Ok cool, thanks

I am using the hardware version and I did optimize wit dark loader. It won't let me extract the archive with the replacement textures.I am just gonna set everything back with the old texture and only use the EP because I all the hassle in getting the other two to work has made lose my patience for it and I just don't have the time to fix this anymore.

Don't give up just yet! You're almost there. :cheeky:
I suppose I should have uploaded it as a regular zip file since it is more common...
Anyway all you need to do to extract the textures is download 7zip. It's free. 7zip files (.7z) are pretty common these days. Plus 7zip works with other file types too.

(

Ok Azaran I figured out what the problem is with that female noble (I noticed the same problem when I played the mission). The simple fix is to rename opguestw.tga in ThiefG\mesh\txt to something like opguestw.tga.old so that it uses the file opguestw.gif that came from the FM. The .tga texture is 256x256 while the .gif texture is 128x256 and it tries to use the .tga texture and that's why it is reversed.
I am using Garrettloader 1.41 myself. The root of the problem is that the enhancement pack files are not preserved when installing fan missions. A solution to the problem would be for Garretloader to preserve the contents of all resource folders before installing a fan mission. It could rename the files to something like *.*.old and then rename them back when reverting back to the original Thief install.
I know there is an updated version of Garrettloader (1.42 I think?) and maybe this issue is fixed in that version I don't know. If not, I think the resource folder preservation would be a good feature to add.

Thanks so much Nathan, I renamed it and it's fine now :thumb:
