So WS and his cabal would wait patiently until their Pocket Badass v2. had got himself ready before they installed his Restraining Bolt/4th Directive/Sci-fi failsafe device of the week, knowing that Pocket Badass v1. was already going rogue?

Hm, that wasn't quite what I meant :) Was Gore_Torn talking about the killswitch thing?

well lol i was referring to 2 seperate things:
How i thought daedalus helped JC escape from UNATCO, and what sny^ said
Quote:
could be that after Walton Simons activated JC's killswitch after JC transmitted the distress signal he also disabled JC's augmentations, but Alex Jacobson (to quote Polito) "discretely put them back online". But in this case the augmentations should've been unavailable for a certain period during that mission...
Sry for the confusion, should have put the quote on my last post lol 8-)

With regards to whether or not Paul survives at the 'Ton, the trigger is killing all of the MiBs I'm pretty sure. You can still go out the window exit, just make sure the albino bastards are dead first.
If you want Paul to live, of course.
Vraptor7 on 23/6/2006 at 16:41
The trigger is at the window. You go out the window, Paul dies.
DarkForge on 24/6/2006 at 08:28
What would happen if you went out the window, then came straight back in through the window again, then went out through the door?
Of course, why you'd want to do that is beyond me. But I'm just saying.

If you go out the window, Paul dies. It matters not one bit what you do either before or after that event. If you cross that line he dies.

with everyone still trying to influence Denton is it not possible that as stated they only activated his kill switch to bring him in, keeping the mods/augs on cause well they make him far more useful (it has been a very long time since I played this game)
Jeshibu on 27/6/2006 at 23:50
No, Simons wanted him very dead, because JC was obviously useless to him when he switched sides.
Now, if it were Invisible War, it might be more like "You fucker! I'll kill you!"
"Hey, can you please do this for me?"

I just replayed IW.
Ebil Guy In cell: "Hey, we ain't so bad. Sure my buddies tried to kill you, but I'm no extremist."
Alex D: "Well Golly Gee Mister, I'll just use one of my precious multitools to set you free" (Whips out Pistol)
Ebil Guy: "Thanks!"
Alex D: "No problem" (Puts away Pistol)
Ebil Guy: "DEFILER!" (Proceeds to unleash tickle weapon upon Alex D)
Alex D: "Sigh" (Whips out newly-aquired Dragon's Tooth Sword and commits ownage upon numpty in cell)
