thats happend to me too! i wonder why they dont just up and attack you when that happends. its funny on "realistic" difficulty cuz while they have their gun to your head during the conversation and it ends, Boom! dead :p

Slightly more worrying was when I sneaked through the whole of the underground MJ12 sewer base to find the scientist who you are supposed to rescue. I'd not been spotted by one guard and I went in and started talking to the scientist, who says he'll come with me - then the door opens in the middle of the convo and about 5 MJ12 troopers with SMGs file in.
So much for stealth, but hey I did manage to cap their respective asses :erm:

Looking back, this isn't at all funny, but at the time it cracked me up so much I had to pause the game.
