Perhaps you'd like to share where you found it?

I believe the only Daedric Curiass is probably the one you already found, being that you knew it ruined the main quest. There is a good way to get it from him without killing him though.... if you are tough enough to survive.
I use spells to set it up, but some creative enchanting could get the job done as well.
1) I cast armor desintigration on him till he is no longer wearing it. Once it is broken, it goes into his inventory.
2) I cast a spell that leaches away his endurance. This isn't 100% neccisary, but it makes it much easier.
3) I punch him 'till he falls down.
4) I click on his body before he gets back up, and snatch the armor. Then I recall out of there.
Once someone's fatigue drops BELOW zero, the get knocked out. While they are out, you can click on them and take whatever is in thier inventory.
I suppose you could create a weapon that leaches endurace, and at the same time heals them of whatever damage the weapon is doing, if your hand to hand skill isn't up to par.
Another weapon could be created that causes armor desintigration, and heals them, if you aren't a good enough mage to break his armor without it. You could just use this one 'till his armor is broke, then you switch to the other one. Or mabe an amulate of armor desintigration?
It works really well with the spell version though, I do it all the time.
That'd be a cool weapon for somebody to make in a Mod.
The Can Opener (crazy looking, small hooked axe)
Damage 1 - 1
Casts on strike
Resotre Health 1 point on target
Damage Fatigue 5 points on target
Armor Desintegration 5 points on target

sure...
go to the ruins near the wolverine hall...
i found a door that was blocked... but it meant u had to get in somehow..
there is a small island with one of those ancient burial tombs just near by..
(the ruins border onto the ocean)
go in, clear out some monsters and right at the back u can see a cave passage
just follow it ... there are a couple of monsters in there... so keep a few potions handy
a door that looks like it's made of ice that has a lock 80 on it...
u get to what looks like an underground daedric ruin...
with a lava pit in the middle... it's like an ancient smith shop..
there is a locked chest just floating in mid air over the pit... it's reachable though (i think it had a lock 80 on it as well)
the whole pit/smith bit has several very high ledges... so levitate potions/spells/scrolls help
i found in there these items:
bunch of just steel/iron weapons and some potions
but of more interest:
an ebony spear
skull crusher (a hammer with good stats... 60/50/?? and feather and attack bonus enchant)
the daedric helmet ("daedric face of terror")
dwemer boots of flying (which is what came in really handy to get to the top two ledges) the range of levitation on these is a bit broad (1 to 100)
and a bunch of books that improved my armourer skills by about 3 points
hope that helped :D

You can get an entire set, minus the helm and shield, from Divayth Fyr, in Tel Fyr. Use the method I described above to get it from him without killing him, as he is important to the main quest.
Regarding the method above, I've done some testing, and it's possible to do it without being a mage. Enchant an Exquisite Amulate or Ring with:
Cast when used
Armor Desintigration 50 points for 2 seconds on touch
Drain Fatigue 15 ponts for 6 seconds on touch(not sure these are the exact numbers for fatigue, just do the most you can fit after you do the desintigration. Make sure you put a little duration on it though)
Just cast like a maniac till he is no longer wearing his armor, then punch him once or twice, and he'll go down. You have to punch him to knock him out, but it should be easy after the Drain Fatigue. You will then be able to open his inventory, and take his gear. Recall out of there, and get the stuff fixed... wa-la. Next time you talk to him, he shouldn't still be pissed at you. If he is, just use Calm Humanoid spell. Do NOT use this method on Ordinators... unless you just wanna see 'em running around in just pants. If you take thier armor, you get a 17,600 bounty. Just kill them, it's way cheaper ;)
There are three differant kinds of Daedric Helms, and two kinds of shields. Here's where you get them:
Helms:
Face of Inspiration:
Ghostgate, Tower of Dusk - Galdal Omayn, on the second floor.
Ibar-Dad - A cave that's located west of the Urshilaku Ashlander camp, and just southwest of the daedric shrine Assurnabitashpi. The Urshilaku Ashlander camp is located along the coastline northeast of Khuul. Proceed into the cave and through the locked gate. Swim through the tunnel on the left to find the key that opens the shrine, which is located through the tunnel on the right. You can also find the unique shield Eleidon's Ward mounted on the wall in the shrine.
Mammea, Shrine of Pitted Dreams - This cave, a Sixth House base, is located southeast of Gnisis, east of the stronghold Berandas, and just west of the daedric shrine Dushariran. Go through the Sanctom of Awakening, Sanctom of Black Hope, and into the Shrine of Pitted Dreams. The helm is in a trough at the back of that section. You can also find the unique dagger Fang of Haynekhtnamet here, and there is an ash vampire in the Sanctom of Black Hope.
Face of God:
Marvani Ancestral Tomb, Tukushapal, Sepulcher - At the Lizard's Head in the Telvanni Waistworks section of Vivec, talk to Ennbjof with a bottle of Matze in your inventory, and he'll give you the key to the tomb. It's located on a small island south of the daedric shrine Zaintiraris, which is just south of Molag Mar. The entrance to the tomb is on the southern end of the island. Proceed down the tomb, into Tukushapal, and then into Sepulcher. Once you enter Sepulcher, levitate up and to the right, following the hum of the crystals.
Face of Terror:
Ghostgate, Tower of Dusk - Enar Dralor, on the lower level.
Omaren Ancestral Tomb, Forgotten Vaults of Anudnabia, Forge of Hilbongard - The Omaren Ancestral Tomb is located on a small island just east of Sadrith Mora. It's next to a sealed daedric ruin. Proceed down the tomb into the undergound section. Next to a Storm Atronach there is a chest that has the key to the Forgotten Vaults of Anudnabia, Forge of Hilbongard. The helm is on a high platform in the northern part of the forge. This platform is directly above another platform that has a Dwemer Jinksword on it. You can also find the unique hammer Skull Crusher in an elevated chest in the middle of the forge.
Shields:
Daedric Shield:
Dren Plantation, Dren's Villa - Galos Farethi.
Galom Daeus, Observatory - In the room that Raxle Berne is in. Levitate to the upper area.
Golden Saints - Randomly carry them.
Ibar-Dad - See above.
Daedric Tower Shield:
Golden Saints - Randomly carry them.
Much of this info was taken from posts on other forums. I deserve very little credit here, but I hope this helps.

You forgot daedric face of inspiration which is located inside the dungeon with the relic eliedon's ward(shield with better ar than a daedric tower shield). The entrance is west of the urshilaku camp. It has 2 mages and some scamps and a sunken daedric ruin inside the dungeon.

you can get an enchanted daedric cuirass and greaves from Therana in Tel Branora by retrieving Auriels Bow. Auriels bow is in Ghostgate.
