I'm pretty sure there is no way to get a Daedric Cuirass without killing someone important. The Lord's Mail is better anyway.

It all depends on your skill at the perticular armor -- heavy, meduim, light. If your skill is high on light armor, it, will be rated higher than heavy armor. My guy was designed with heavy armor in mind, but because I have a high light armor skill too, the glass armor is better for me. I say this mainly because I can carry a lot more junk in raids. I was using the glass armor boots in fights but I found that the boots of blinding speed are much better. I can dodge spells and melee attacks much easier with these boots which in turn saves me from damage.

It should be mentioned, though, that at the max levels, heavy offers the most protection. I would just enchant the stuff with a permanent feather enchantment, though.

There is a really good light armor Cuirass called "Cuirass of Savior's Hide " that has an armor rating of 226 with a constant effect of resist Magicka of 60%. [If you can find it.] I really don't understand the armor rating myself. I have heavy and light armor skills equally on my guy but seem to have more protection with light armor. I've tried mixing them up to get the total higher without any luck. For some reason the Light armors total rating is higher for me. :confused: My total light armor rating is 146 with the fancy cuirass and the boots of blinding speed. I found the cuirass Magicka effect counter acts the blinding on the boots so I can now see normally.
