It'll have a passing similarity to VATS, no doubt. But then a Rembrant and a Caravaggio share similarities, though you'd be a fool and a philistine to claim "copy" or lament the creation of one in the knowledge that the other exists.

The thread title is also misleading, it asks what we don't like and what really makes us nervous. It doesn't ask what 'single' issue makes us nervous. As it stands, the thread title implies that we can choose more than one.

After the tragic removal of Stephen Russell from the game (which I mentioned enough in other threads), I'd say the toning down of supernatural elements really has me on edge. The undead and fantasy elements are an essential part of the series. I was hoping for another undead level like THC or the Cradle, but now that looks increasingly unlikely - another nail in the coffin of the series (pun intended). I can live with the 3rd person stuff, the superhero theme, and even the removal of classic Thief lingo - don't really like it, but I can get used to that.

This is what makes me nervous. Both Stephanes will not BS us, they say, but we have been BS'd to by others at EM. Maybe they thought this was cute and lulzy, or denied the whole thing over a technicality in the question:

Several tweets on various EM-related pages have been deleted over the years, and many things on the main site have changed often enough to have escaped getting cached. I regret every one I wasn't able to capture and save for posterity. This one is very minor compared to others.

Reading that only three guards or more will be dangerous to Garrett in combat made me really suspicious.
Many statements made by the developers also indicate that they either don't really know much about the previous games or don't care about them at all.
