I just watched the various game play footages again, now that some time has passed...
Mark my words, this game will be mediocre and forgettable.
We can already assume that by looking at youtube views of the trailers and E3 footage. People barely noticed this game unfortunately

It will be even worse than Deadly Shadow, which indeed enjoyed a moment or two in the sun, but was ultimately forgotten due to its lack of classic replay value. This new game will flash in the pan, make whatever sales it can muster, then disappear into the void of obscurity as quickly as it arrived.
Then again, it *will* live on in the hearts of the original fanatics, you can rest assured about that...

Behold! The Magical Adventures Of NuBallerina
As I went to ballet school for 7 years, I might well play that. :)

Expect some 85+ on metacritic and critical acclaim, because it won't be bad for notThief fans

Again, it will be as forgettable as yesterdays trash. No dedicated and rabid NuFanCommunity will spring up from this game and keep its majestic legacy alive for years and years, for as I had mentioned previously, the game will quickly sink into the bog of mediocre gaming detritus.
Mark it dude.

I doubt the game's mediocrity, but sure it will be forgotten if there aren't any sequels
Goldmoon Dawn on 24/8/2013 at 21:36
Well, since they have chosen to brand this fat pig "Thief", it will be compared to the trilogy of real Thief games, wherein it will surely pale to mediocrity in said comparison.
And that is final.

Wait, there was a trilogy before ? I'm giving a try...
My eyes are bleeding with such horrible graphics, I'm not giving a single f*** on this one...
Idem for the second one ...
This one's not half-bad, even though it feel s kind of like a 90's horror movie.. wait, I was playing all along with a vagrant ? WTF ?
What a shame was that pityful "trilogy". The reboot rocks hard !

I gave it a 2 because I like the idea of visible hands doing stuff and because of their promise to take care of PC gamers (FOV option, etc), but otherwise this isn't even a Thief game to judge as such. As a game it might be good, but as a Thief game, well it's no legit sequel in any legit sense.
