I'm actually more interested in Routine than SOMA. Amnesia and the like didn't click with me. Yea they were well done but felt a little too much "ooh darkness, scary!" and repetitive over the different titles.

Reading this thread from the OP makes me realize one thing - I miss dethtoll around here. It may sound weird coming from me because I think the guy hates my guts, but when it comes to just discussing games, he added a ton to this forum.
Not to derail, but I agree. DT may have tried to run his points to the ground a little too much, but those were interesting points most of the time at least.

Man, that 12min gameplay demo was thrillingly creepy. Suddenly I'm very much looking forward to SOMA. As for Routine, what I liked most about the old videos was the 1980's vision of the future it portrayed, but I sorta feel like Alien:Isolation stole it's thunder on that part, by coming out much sooner. Aesthetics aside, it doesn't look that much different from SOMA, and I've yet to see Routine showing off something as creepy as the talking robot in the above video.

Looks like Frictional has decided to up their rates a bit. I believe most of their previous games were around the $20 mark, but SOMA is listed at $30 (with a 10% discount for pre-ordering).
I like these guys plenty enough to shell it out, but I can't help but wonder if the higher price point will hurt them overall with sales. Seems like max you'd see any indie title coming in at these days would be $40, and that's more than likely going to be some type of in-depth RPG.
Once all of the kids see their hero Pewdiepie and other big name streamers/LPers playing it, copies will be flying off virtual store selves.

Very similar to what Bioshock was supposed to look like at first, before it went all Art Deco and Big Daddies.

September 22nd ?
What ? Wait !
That's next week.
Soma September 22nd.
Fallout 4 November 10th.
Tangiers November 26th.
I haven't even finished The Witcher 3. I have hardly started with GTAV.
I hope it's gonna rain a lot this winter.

Fuck, Tangiers is November too? Jesus H. Deus Ex 4 and Mirror's Edge 2 are in February. Where am I going to find the time/cash?
