I'm so happy these guys are rich.
Now we just need Ice-Pick Lodge to get a mega hit.

I've no idea what this is about but those were cool as.
I'll be watching this one.

PlayStation Europe (Twitter) links to it every time there's a new teaser. It's basically confirmed there'll be a PS(4?) version. However considering The Chinese Room sold to Sony and turned Everybody's Gone to the Rapture into a PS4 exclusive with no definite plans for a PC version, some speculate SOMA might turn out to be console exclusive as well.

I doubt it. Frictional only worked with TheChineseRoom for A Machine for Pigs. As far as I know, they're still very much their own studio.
Also, SCP: The Videogame. I can't wait! :D

Yeah, the site in particular confirms the SCP comparison. Perhaps with less ghostly stuff and (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paranoia_%28role-playing_game%29) Paranoia-esque black humor (not that I'd complain about either.)
The evil screen that seems to show you things just after something bad happens in the near future is cool and could be a straight horror concept. The ruined robot that's convinced it is you suggests unsettling psychological horror weirdness, in that mixed up SCP way.
Promising indeed.

Yeaht the thing with the TheChineseRoom and AMfP was that Frictional felt there was interest in another Amnesia game, but they themselves were no longer interested in doing it, so they just asked another studio to give it a shot. They have no other ties with the TheChineseRoom, which is a good thing considering how much flak they received for AMfP from their fanbase.
In any case this new project should be awesome - I hope!

The vibe I'm getting from the site is that they're not an official organization dedicated to studying and containing the outre like The Foundation, rather they're a science expedition coming across some very odd things.
From what I've seen of the site, my guess is this expedition is going to come across a series of strange objects that point towards them having something horrible and strange happen to them in the near future. Like the mockingbird robot? It might not be mimicking Douglas Strohmaier, it could actually be him in some shape, form, or fashion. The whole game could be centered around you trying to figure out then prevent whatever happens from happening, investigating the objects you find to help you on your way.
Like the Vivarium could show you the worst possible outcome of an event, and you can use it in conjunction with a bunch of other things to figure out how to change the future.
...and of course the twist ending is that using all these things to save yourself is what ultimately causes the horrible thing to happen to begin with.
edit: either that, or the vivarium makes a copy of the person watching it in the machine, which would mean that all the technology in the game could be built up as being capable of cloning the "soul" of whoever interacts with it then trying to escape.
