"B-ball" was still popular in the 90s, iirc.
White Man Can't Jump does NOT count. :D

It's an awesome game but damn...
"Animus has been locked inside an iron maiden for more than 400 years. Back in the year 1605 a troop of soldiers of the other world was sent here to capture that Iron maiden which was hidden in the basement of a huge castle in Transilvania. They didn't know what there was inside it but they only followed the ordesr of the prince of the other world, son of the king. Once in the other world it was put under strict vigilance in a prison for order of the prince and left there. But one day that iron maiden opened and Animus came out. A voice talked to him inside his head telling him that he had to go to the chaos and find a creature called Final. Animus, hungry for answers, starts a journey to learn who he really is, why does hi suffer so much and ,most of all, why can't he die, since that is his biggest wish after more than 400 years of endless suffering."
Holy shit that's bad. Not even Massi bad, "the pen is on the table" bad...

(

(
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1IQBR6cyrs) This footage should give you an idea of what the game is like. Or, if you're too lazy to click, imagine a 2D space combat game where each and every ship is pieced together out of modules, kind of like Legos. You can use the mouse to drag these pieces to your ship (initially just a command module with basic thrusters and a peashooter) and attach them...and you'd better do it quickly, because the opposition ramps up fast!

One of the podcasts that I subscribe to has been talking about that game (three weeks in a row, actually!). They love it, but say it is a tad overpriced.

I'm in the US, but it only gave me a $15 discount, which means it's still $5. Worth it?

So you wanna play Quake, but don't want to go through all that trouble of finding your long lost discs and installing it? No problem! Just play (
